About 49 Coleraine volunteers, staff and neighboring community members volunteered 380+ man hours over two days in early August to install a new playground in Cotton Park in Coleraine. A playground is much more to a community than “just a playground”...a
playground creates a positive trickledown effect on the immediate community and surrounding area.
“The Coleraine playground project is a great example of community collaboration, particularly for a small rural community like
Coleraine,” said Lisa Randall of Community & Economic Development Associates also known as (CEDA).
The new Cotton Park playground is located on the top of the hill just behind Cotton Beach on
the north end of Trout Lake.
