ISD 318 School Board held their regular scheduled meeting yesterday up in Bigfork at the Edge Center. Some parents of students were present at the meeting who provided some public input during the forum discussion. During the meeting the board worked through some policy issues and staffing requirements. Also the school board voted and approved on the preliminary levy for this years budget session. This is just the first step as the final approval won’t happen until December. After the meeting the school board went on a tour outside of the school to look at the new solar panel energy project that is currently in the works up at the school to help with energy costs and give students an opportunity to learn about the solar industry. The solar panel projected is completely funded by a grant from the state.
